Because we have advised hundreds of clients in similar situations we understand the emotions and practicalities of the process from start to finish.

David Bremner

David Bremner is the Managing Director of Intelligent Capital.  As a result of working with dozens of Family Law firms over the years David has become an integral part of the Scottish Family Law Community.

David is an Associate Member of the Scottish Family Law Association and has spoken at their AGM. He has also provided training for the Law Society of Scotland. Having been a long term advocate of Collaborative Law, David is currently the Chairman of Consensus Collaboration Scotland the first non-lawyer to hold the position.

David has advised in hundreds of Family Law cases and is widely regarded as the foremost IFA in Scotland specialising in Family Law.

Julie Mitchell

Julie Mitchell

Julie looks at an individual from a holistic approach to ensure a client’s overall welfare is at the centre of their financial planning both now and in the future.

Throughout her industry experience Julie has guided clients through the myriad of life events we encounter along our financial planning journey. Whilst the birth of a child, a union or career success can bring unrivalled joy, other life events can have significant impacts on both our wellbeing and financial outlook for the future.

Divorce is a highly emotional and distressing time and Julie is passionate about providing additional support and understanding at times when it is needed most.

During Julie’s career she has worked for the UK’s longest-running provider of independent financial advice for women and experienced the challenges that both parties face in the course of divorce proceedings.

David Nelson

David is Collaboratively Trained with Consensus and experienced in working with Family Lawyers.

He deals with a wide range of clients and is passionate about developing plans to provide financial peace of mind to clients who are going through divorce, whilst also helping them to look forward and understand what their future financial position could be.

He has delivered training to lawyers on the benefits of cashflow modelling and has also spoken on the subject of pensions and divorce

He is a Chartered Financial Planner and also a holds Chartered status with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
